    Hey, Ann…

    I’m the guy with amsterdamit. Actually, my name is Rusty Williams.

    Amsterdamit is just a community site. The articles are a combination news story/blog.

    My education was in journalism, but shortly after getting out of school, I got a job as a reporter with a newspaper in the town I was living in at the time. (Roswell, NM – with the “Roswell Daily Record.” — No, I didn’t see any space aliens while I lived there, but for some reason, ever since living there, my eyes have this great, sublime green glow when in blacklight.)

    Anyway, it took me about two months to discover that news writing was BORING! – So, the website is a way to blend quasi-reporting with a touch of creativity.

    As a frequenter of your blog and the information you look to extend to the public, I thought I would drop you a line and let you know about the site I have up now. Less political, and more event and activity driven. Hoping to consolidate the information about what to do and where to go in Fulton, Montgomery and Schoharie Counties so that more people can participate in these activities and hopefully create new ones as well.     As a frequenter of your blog and the information you put out there for the public, I wanted you know about my new site. It is about local things to do and places to go, to consolidate this information into one place so that people can easily get out and enjoy our area. I included a calendar, free classifieds and a message board for people to use as well.
